Credit. How do I negotiate a PAY TO DELETE agreement with a credit card company?

Master Sir Maggot/ also OCEAN CREATURE…LOL asked:

Credit account … how to write a PAY TO THE POINT of the cancellation …. Help please. I have derogatory items on my credit account for about 5,000 and a student loan in good situations to 15,000. My articles are derogatory credit cards that went into default for about 3-4 years. I read that it 's better to negotiate a "PAY LETTER TO REMOVE" … Since I pay my old bad debt that can make my credit worse than better … I can also wait 2 to 3 years that I don' t want to do … What else you recommend …? Thanks so much. Alex, NYC PS, I have to pay right away … the only god who seeks to advise … thanks again.

You can request for that, just be sure that the company replies in writing that they will agree to your terms, in case they did not remove the negotiated settlement, you will have legal leverage.

BELOW IS A SAMPLE COPY OF ONE, THAT IS PRETTY GOOD :)

P.S. I use to work as a collection supervisor, and more than likely, you’re dealing with a company that purchased your debt, and they can usually settle for about 40% of the bal. (60% off). They will try to get you to settle higher of course (standard is 25% off), but I just wanted to give you the heads up, that they can go much lower.

What has happened to peoples moral obligations. Apparently you made the charges and didn’t pay. If had the authority at credit card company, pay to delete would be when 100% was paid off.
